In 2013, Coco Bonito was the first brand to introduce these exclusive glasses cords to the market, making the iconic Sunnycords line a reality. Sunnycords are fashionable glasses cords suitable for both reading glasses and sunglasses, and they can be attached to any pair of glasses, allowing you to easily hang them around your neck. Colorful glasses cords
Coco Bonito was founded in 2013, inspired by Sophie's search for a fun and colorful glasses cord for her sunglasses. Her search was difficult, and she couldn't find her ideal glasses cord. That's why she decided to create her own glasses cord, which became the first Sunnycord. When she received many requests from family members for the same Sunnycord, Sophie decided to start Coco Bonito while studying Psychology. After completing her studies, she involved her sister Eva in the business. This way, Sophie could focus on the creative side of Coco Bonito, while Eva took care of the operational and commercial aspects.
Special collaborations
As traveling the world is Sophie's greatest passion, she always manages to broaden her horizons. This has allowed her to be inspired by local craftsmanship and remote tribes. She has discovered many different crafts around the world, resulting in numerous co-creations for Coco Bonito. Coco Bonito collaborates with various local, female artisans in countries such as India, Kenya, Peru, and Thailand. This has led to the creation of beautiful handmade Sunnycords.
Socially responsible
At Coco Bonito, they feel responsible for the impact they have on the planet. Therefore, they strive to focus more on socially responsible production of the Sunnycords, leaving a low CO2 footprint. The collaborations with local artisans contribute to this. Coco Bonito also ensures a fair income so that the artisans can fulfill their basic needs. Additionally, old and vintage materials are used to avoid unnecessary pollution and waste.
